This whisky is a living testament to that. This is a blended malt from the Chichibu Distillery, built by Ichiro Akuto that combines it's own whisky with that from his Grandfather, Isouji Akuto's, Hanyu Distillery that was built in 1941 and closed in 2000. That makes this a rare, desirable and complex combination of Sherry matured Hanyu and Chicibu matured In Japanese oak. On the nose
