This is a great card for decks with 2+ colors

This can range from only having cards with an even mana cost ( Gyruda, Doom of Depths ) to having extra cards in your deck ( Yorion, Sky Nomad )

Demonic Pact is a cool card and all, but you have to build a really particular kind of deck to be in the market for an effect that slow, so it seems weird to print a lot of cards that do that

If you want to cast it on-curve, you need an Assassin on turn one or two, and if your curve is low enough to consistently be getting that, you dont need this much ramp anyways
