Jane Size:M116 when the house and gardenA modern medium bittersweet cider apple. Primrose yellow with a heavy crimson flush. A large apple, sweet and astringent. Flowers mid May. matures late September. Moderately vigorous, benefits from a stronger rootstock. Specifically bred by Liz Copas and Ray Williams at the Long Ashton Research Station in Somerset to provide England's commercial cider industry and one of the popularly named 'Girls' cider varieties since the majority had female names.
