Magnificent and rare Roman Legionary six sided gaming dice modelled in heavy metal, possibly bronze alloy, and known in Latin as tesserea. Bronze cuboid dice is engraved on all sides with dots from 1 to 6, which consist of a large outer ring and small central dot. Like modern dice, the numbers on opposing faces add up to seven.
