Personally, I think its a fun and interesting way to play the game on an unusual axis, though I can see why players wouldnt like to see their beloved cards disappear before their eyes

The rate here is a bit overcosted so I wouldnt expect to play this outside of Limited, but Ive liked one copy of it in most of my Maestros decks there

Most options, like Grab the Prize or Highway Robbery, only let you discard once

These all give you special effects such as drawing two hands at the start of your game or giving you effects when a creature with a specific name does combat damage
